Morning, Richard here, living in South Wales.

Health stops me camping as much as I used to but do get out when I can, stoves and (some) lanterns are my main hobby together with cooking and military history.

Retired from nursing and and now employed as a baby sitter to our two beautiful grand children (five and ten months) which is far harder work than nursing every was ;)

Hi & welcome, your change of occupation will keep you fit. There's nothing like babysitting for exercise. ;)

Welcome to the forum Rik (or Richard, which ever you prefer :) ).
Might catch you out and about, on one of the occasions you're out in the future. I'm often in south Wales.

Indeed, but the returns policy is good :)

Word of caution, don't leave your smartphone unattended when you have a teething grand daughter unless you can afford to replace the screen she chews on.

Many thanks for the welcome, Adam, I do prefer Richard or Rich, got stuck with Rik on a couple of forums, bloody stupid name.

It is Tim but for me having a paddle other than a bit of kayaking when a teen never got off the ground :( I've a bad chest now so it won't happen... I'm an armchair paddler lol.

Thank you for the welcome.
