Hello from Cambs

Hi, just joined I live just outside St Neots in Cambridgeshire. Interest are camping, walking, boating of any kind, fishing, motorhoming. I have various tents/tarps/hammocks as well as a multitude of the usual stoves etc. (motorhome is for when the wife joins me!)
Favourite areas to visit are Scotland, particularly the West Coast and I am a regular visitor to Applecross. I winter camp in the Cairngorms every Winter although I'm not getting any younger and my next trip after that is a dinghy trip camping on the islands of Loch Lomond, although this may change to Loch Awe as it is a little more quiet!

Look forwards to learning from this forum.

Quick thanks to everybody for the welcome. I have always camped/hiked etc. but always been a bit green and never learned properly apart from the usual TV shows. Looking around this site, there is a wealth of information available and some very knowledgable people, I am very impressed. I am also coming across various pieces of equipment which I simply must possess! It's gonna bankrupt me.

Sar-Ian is that a Weimaraner I spy in your Avatar! Our last Dog Sapphire was a Weimaraner, absolutely daft, but fantastic dogs. She lived to the ripe old age of 14 but sadly passed away 4 years ago.

As you can see by my Avatar, we have now gone for something even dafter!
