Hi guys

Recently did a weekend bushcraft course which, combined with my love of wild camping, has really whetted my appetite to learn new skills and get out in the woods. The one thing that's preventing this is a lack of decent locations which is frustrating! So, let me know if you would be prepared to help me out with decent sites or are like minded. I'm also keen to volunteer to help teach bushcraft in return for the opportunity to learn and have site access. I absolutely believe in leaving no trace and am responsible, and want to be able to inspire others and pass on the skills and passion to others. Please drop me a line if any of this sounds interesting!!

Hey Tim , welcome to the Forum. I know what you mean about the frustration of the lack of decent locations. Thankfully we do know
of a few. Keep an eye out on the Meetings & Gatherings thread , specifically wales/north wales bushcrafters and North England/Northern Soul bushcrafters. Both groups have organised weekends at bushcraft friendly sites and also the odd member who enjoy a spot of wild camping (me included) if you like that sort of thing. You are more than welcome at any of the meets, just put your name down on anything you fancy. Feel free to PM if you've got any questions.

Welcome to the forum Tim.
As you say, it can be tricky to find a nice location for over night/several day trips, but the more you get to know the people involved in bushcraft, the more locations start to present themselves. One of the added bonuses of the community :)

Hi Tim, I'm also a new member. About 10 miles from Chester and I, like you are looking for some decent places to learn. By the sounds of things a lot of people know great places. See you around. Cheers Dan
