Hello all!
Quick message to introduce myself,
long time listener, first time caller etc etcetera :)
Living in sunny yorkshire all my life in the great capital of York:)
I've been a keen walker, climber and generally anything outdoors for about 20 years since my mates
Dad used to take us out and about on "missions" as we liked to call them;)
As I'm getting older life has taken its toll and I no longer have the stamina or enthusiasm for climbing hills in the middle of winter or dangling precariously off huge bits of gritstone for fun as much as I used to, so decided to pursue a slower pace of outdoor enjoyment! :)
I've picked up a lot of general skills over the years not really by learning them as such but mostly by osmosis, watching other people reading books on the outdoors and the like, but would really like to get the most out of my irregular jaunts into the woods.
Been reading the articles and forums for about a year and the wealth of information available is fantastic and this seems to be the place where the great and the good of bushcraft hang out so thought I would sidle up to the bar and say hi!;)
I'm slowly building up my kit ATM as my tent has seen better days and after spending a night in a hammock last year I'll never sleep on the mud again:)
So if anyone fancy a a little saunter out over the next couple of months or just fancys a jar and a chat, hit me up, but do be prepared to have your brains devoured for all things bushcraft:)
Take it easy all and stay safe.
