My bushcraft mate , Odd from the Norwegian Bushcraft channel kills the myths that
you need a carbon steel blade or scraper to throw a spark from a ferro rod/ fire steel.
And anyway, he's got one of the best UT Bushcraft channels out there.

That was an interesting video, especialy the broken ceramic throwing such good sparks. T^

I've subscribed also. Looks to be a great channel so far.
It was the sandpaper that surprised me the most, but he says it has to be harder than the ferrorod, which it obviously is. I never thought much of the carbon steel striker myth anyway. I get the best sparks from the spine of my Chinese Stainless knife.
