I consider myself to be lucky in that my Mrs loves the outdoors as much as i do. More often than not she will come out with me on day walks and has slowly taken to the bushcraft aspect of nature too, she now has her own pack, knife, fire kit etc etc. When we are out we usually make a brew, i use the austrian billy set with the black pot stand (similar to the swiss set but with ought the annoying swinging handle)but i replaced the army trangia with a popcan due to the massive difference in weight.
As she is quiet petite and feels the cold that once the brew is made she always 'huddles' close to the stoves to soak up the last of the heat from it.
During a walk a coupe of weeks back she suddenly chirped up and said "we need one of those hobo things so we still have a fire to keep warm while we drink our tea"
'fair comment' i said. so off to the shed i go to have a go at making her one.
Below is the link to the video i made of how i got on making her one
