Howdy all
Would anyone have any spare large pieces of horn or antler stashed away they would be willing to swap for cash?
Got a few projects I'd like to do and thought I'd ask here before hitting the bay of evil
Many thanks

Antler is often sold for dog chews. Have you checked your local pet shop?

I think there's a link on here somewhere to online antler. I'll see if I can find it....

Thanks for the idea, will check around here!
Seems more pricey than I remember, a while back I paid £5 a kilo. Now Ts as you remember it eh?

Be careful on the Kinmel estate, the game keeper there is a bit over zealous.

Just been to big pet store in flint. 6 quid for a 5" piece if horn pipe 1" diameter. If I'm in a bind then it'll do but Gods that's expensive!!

blimey this threads bringing back memories,i worked as a trainee keeper on kinmell estate in 1988,worked under a keeper called terry oscroft who funnily enough now works over here as the only full time keeper on the island.
there was a pure white stag on there when i was there,he took some looking after as he was a prime target for poachers

Gods I can believe that, there was one up the highlands near glenmoriston in '08 when I was building turbines. Magical looking but there was always a ghillie somewhere hidden keeping dibs on it
