An afternoon in the spring woods.

Well the weather has finally taken a turn for the better here in the west-country as it usually does towards the end of february and the beginning of march for 10 days or so,so the family squeezed into the car and off we went to explore a new bit of woods to us,it looks to be long since disused hazel copse with a few oaks thrown in for good measure,there were signs of activity in the form of human and wildlife,i have passed this woods many times and in the evening it is not uncommon to see 10 or so Roe deer grazing the fields surrounding the woods,today we found piles of deer deposits every where,plenty of pheasants and sign of badgers too. it was also youngest son samuels first trip out for a bit of bush crafting,not sure what he made of it!

all in all a lovely afternoon had with all the birds tweeting away and the sun shining through the empty canopy.
