my daughter was in the garden this morning with the camera, she got a few shots of the spadgers and starlings busy making nests in next doors eaves, the sparrows are in our ivy and roost in it every night, must be 50 odd birds in it at times and we can see them through the bathroom window at night...as can the cat

Here the snow melt is well under way. Two months early...been the craziest winter I have seen. We had plenty of snow fall in the end of october and November. In december it rained and snow every second day. And then...no snow, no rain, no wind, and clear skies from Christmass to end of february. then the clouds came in. And now it has reained for a week. Yesterday and this morning we had some snow, but it melted off immediately. And now its raining. hard...

We should have a mter or two of snow in the forest, we have perhaps 20 cm left...

crazy weather we get now,i think its only gonna get stranger whether its global warming or just the natural cycle, trouble is it will create its own chain reaction and then there will be no going back.
we are about normal for the spring this year, last year we were about 2 months behind because of the cold snap and our worst snow in living memory

T^ Cute little tweeps :). Oh gosh - that must make your cat nuts :P.
It's been a wacky winter in my part of the States, too - for once, we finally got a normal amount of snowfall, but the temps have been dramatically fluctuating - some days it's 10 C outside, only to drop below freezing again, and then it rises above freezing...nothing consistent. It should still be a bit below freezing this month, but it seems to be warming early this year.

'Spring has sprung, the grass is riz, I wander where dem birdies is' as my dear old Granddad used to see, and now we know.
Out on Dartmoor this afternoon and boy what a difference a couple of weeks make, roll on this spring weather.

Yep, I think you're right, as nearly everything we got this season went out to sea.
