Canned Butter? Does anyone know of a supplier in the UK? I know of the German company Conserva but a UK supplier would be good - it's not for me, a friend is going overland to some place or another.

I'm not sure about keeping the butter cool enough, but why not put it into Coughlan's Squeeze Tubes?

Found this and it is really interesting

If you can get milk straight from a cow you could make your own butter

Why dont you make some clarified butter then put it a small container. It wont last as long as canned but it last's a lot longer than fresh butter, it also has a higher smoking point so you can use it to fry.

As I mentioned in my first post, my pal had to end up dealing with Conserva. I just hoped that there would be some-one a bit more affordable.

Hi I forgot to say I'm up in the North East at the min but all Tescos should have it it should be in the world food section or ask the staff I did and got it straight away? If you cant get any in Ipswich let me know as I'm on my way back Sunday and I will get you a can or two. I will be getting some more as it is :)

Look for 'ghee' it's the indian name given to clarified butter as it's used in most (British) curries. :)
