A gas stove for the the trangia storm kitchens will in Norway set you back 60£ and probably not be much cheaper in the UK.

But like many of you I own one of these:

11942

And many of you have similar small stoves that screw right onto a gas canister.

And then the thread came about the adapters that made it possible to use the cheap gas canisters with these stoves.
Like these:

11943 11944

So I ordered the forst version of the two. But when looking for that one. I stumbled uppon this one:

An adapter that turns those cheap gas stoves into a Trangia gas stove for the princely sum of 10US$

I just recieved mine and it works. Only the stove in the top picture turned out to be a couple of cm to high for the Trangia style pot holder/wind screen combo.

How to solve the problem? Put the stove on the stoves built in pot holder....wich also gives you the correct distance pot to burner.

Also if you want to use the cheap gas canisters you need a different adapter...wich I also found.

Anyay, this makes that obne littøle burner into quite a versatile system. The summer will show if it will hold up to bushcraft use :-)

Does it fit well? What height is the burner when fitted in the Trangia?

I actually don't have a trangia, but a cheap copy that is smaller. But same type of system.
Anyway, on that one the burner ends up a little to hig, so the pot ends up resting on the burners pot holder instead of the trangias pot holder...I'd say it lifts the pot about a cm on mine.
That may be a problem, as I do not think the clip that holds the burner is strong enough to hold the burner and the pot when the pot is full...

But when testing, I tested that little red fuel cansister converter also. It works, but I did something wrong and ended up melting the piezo igniter on the burner. As I had half meter high flames happening...scary in the shed...nest time I test outside, thank you!!!

So I have ordered another burner that is hopefully built lower. Will report back when that one arrives.

The one in the link is the one I will test. The lower part of it can be dismantled and I suspect that can go straight on the Trangia adapter. That will make it as low sitting as the original Trangia gas burner. At least I hope so.

If they are anyrhing like the old gas converter for a trannie it will be great, had mine for over a decade and other cookers have been and gone, wont be swapping my current set up best of both worlds imho
