I've never been to the show but have considered it. I was going to travel up north with the family to see relations last year and go over with my boy. As soon as I saw the price, that was it for me, no chance.
I've seen the vids on Youtube, and to be honest, I wasn't that impressed.
Lets hope that I'm wrong and it turns out to be a great weekend. If so, it would be something to reconsider for next year.

I've been twice, once as a weekend visitor and once working there and i've enjoyed it both times, (even though the second time was a complete washout!). Plenty to see and do and loads of people to meet, many of whom you will probably recognise of various youtube videos! It does seem a bit pricey but if you take into account that the cost covers your camping as well its not to bad and the "facilities" are very good. Looks like they have a few good speakers on this year as well but sadly i cant make it due to work commitments.
Hi Bill.
Working for Chris Caine survival, and Beneath the stars leathercraft. Working on the stalls.
Chris Caine has asked me to assist him on some courses, which im made up about, as i really do think he is one of the most experienced survival instructors in the country.
Pass by if your there, be good to catch up.

I was there last year Bill.
Found it really interesting. The lectures were both varied and interesting. lots of trade stalls, with some real bargains to be had.
plenty of "to do" activities at reasonable prices. I was fortunate to forge a axe with Wetterlings, a great experience.
the only thing I could gripe about was the layout, the distance from the car park to the woodland for hammocking was a drag.
Looking at this years venue, it should be a little easier.

The price puts it out of my reach this time around billy as there's too many courses I want to get on this year. I'm going to woodfest though and it's on our door step. Will be good see the feedback from given and I will get cash away for next year and try and do the full show
