That's actually quite expensive?

You can grab a 250g canister of Coleman for about £4 in most outdoor shops.

[edit] ..Ah just realized you said two for £6, not bad :)

If these are the "Yellowstone" ones, be warned. The self sealing valves on them are useless. When unscrewing a stove from a Coleman cylinder there is a minute amount of gas that escapes. With these about a teaspoon of liquid gas sprays out of the valve. Can give you freeze burn on your fingers, and if you're near any other form of flame, you could go bang :(

With experience Adam you'll fine all canisters leak a little when screwing in or from a stove. You won't freeze burn your fingers or go bang chap.

I'll make a video of it for you buddy. I've used many makes and types of gas cylinder, and the Yellowstone ones are the only ones that bubble liquid gas, and a fair amount of it too.
As for freeze burn, I'm just getting past the white flaky skin from my fingers now, from the last time I used one of those cylinders :)

Just tried eight of the canisters, no problems at all.

Strange you should say that. Just went out in the garden to make the video, with a new canister (Yellowstone), and the valve is perfect on it.

I therefore retract my warnings, or at least reduce them to minimal, as it was probably a bad batch I tried before, or they have since upgraded the valves.

As they seem to be fine now, I may actually buy some more :D

Sorry for any worry/upset I may have caused, just wanted to make sure people are prepared, and as safe as possible :)

Better to be warned and ok than to be oblivious and burnt... :)
