Think Chubbs has a tent for you, the one he was telling you about at the meet!

"Self inflating mates"? Reckon you're on the wrong forum Tony!

(Sorry, couldn't resist)

I've found that self inflating mates can be a let down. :ashamed:

It can't be much more than a couple of kilo's Lyn. Its a Lichfield Combat MK1. Great little tent for one and a pooch, and takes five minutes to put up. I'm gonna Fabsil my Winter tent Scott gave me sometime this week so I will do the flysheet at the same time.

Its one of these

its ok I just got a vango on offer matey :) I paid £35 and its 1.78 kg will be fine for the summer months. Is that a single skin or double chubbs?

No problem.

I found that the tent was brand new, even though it must be 30 odd years old, not a mark on the flysheet and looked like it was never put up. I Fabsilled the flysheet and now its good to go.

I'm gonna work out a new pole system for it as nearly all the weight is in the ally poles. I have a bit of a soft spot for these old Lichfield tents, it was the first tent I ever used. Might use it at the next meet.

I still need a light weight sleeping bag though, around 2/3 season on the cheap :)
