looking for a broadleaf woodland around the northwest

How big a wood?

Plenty of small copses. Then there is big ole Beech up around Aglezarke reservoir, Oak and Ash up through Lead mines clough. Birch, Oak and beech around the lower reservoirs.
Mixed woodland on healy nab and about Duxbury park. Plenty of broad leaf along the Yarrow valley too. Back of Haigh hall in Wigan has some nice spots.

There are few good areas other side of winter hill from me as well, just off of matchmoor lane. Wilderswood has a few nice mixed areas - gets a bit busy in spring summer though.
