I'm confused. It takes one tablespoon of water but what power output does that provide and what current can it supply? Is it only for charging mobile phones and MP3 players? It didn't seem very clear.

Yeah, I didn't fully understand too, but my sound cards b*ggered at the mo, so couldn't even hear it.

This kind of thing is just not needed in the wilderness... why would i want to take my Phone/Mp3 player to the woods or mountain range?

as i see it, More unnecessary weight to add to your pack..

Because if you have an accident you may be able to use your phone to call for help.
I bought a solar phone charger when I went to the wilds of Sweden a few years ago. It was useful at the time because we had no other power source, but I have not used it since.
