Used a 2:1 ratio of suet to jerky...
Nutrients look like this : for a 85 bar (25g jerky 60g suet) - 600kcal 58g fat 9g protein and carbs (used cheap jerky and there was wheat rusk in the suet - will maybe try a 1:1 radio to get more protein in the next one)

What did you use for the wheat rusk, crushed-up wheatabix?

Got any picutures? Doesn't sound very appealing to me, how does it taste? :(

I've made it in the past but I've added dried fruit to make it taste less than like, erm, lard. :)

Tasts as you'd expect - just like a slightly peppered lard... strictly a functional food. If i were to try make it palletable i'd probably drop it in the pot with a stock tube.
You could as Steve said pad it out with fruits however that will give you less calories per gram (im going to make a 200g slop of it and stick it in an airtight sweetie tin for emergencies). This was just the test batch....i'll try a palletable batch for my next trick

lol, as I thought, it doesn't look that appetising. In fact, I'd swear my wife put some of that out on the bird table the other day. :D

If its good enough for the birds, its good enough for Ray Mears, and you can guarantee he would say it tastes delicious lol

I had some of my pemmican yesterday with a beef bullion cube.... was believe it or not very tasty, it was quite thick (about 300-400mls of water) and with a few forage items would probably be not so bad at all... even the mrs liked it
