Digging through old memory cards and i ran across this picture, which i think deserves posting. Another local Echidna.

Aren't they the only mammal to lay eggs.????

I believe there are a few more that do, but yeah, this critter is one of them. You can follow their movements by the torn open ant nests, and if you get to know a particular animal well, you can actually figure out their route and how long between each visit to an individual ant nest.
