Hi, my name is Dave, as my user name indicates I’m a closeup magician. Also, an out and out global situation hater. But I can live with it, I’m also a realist that understands (as much as can be understood) the situation we are all born into relating to religion/politics/corporation etc.

I’ve been a hill/trail walker for a good number of years, and love the ultralight philosophy. But now thats not enough for me.

When I look deeper into the ultralight philosophy I see it as heavyweight, it relates to my thoughts of the world in general. True ultralight is in knowledge, bushcraft.

I doubt very much that I’ll ever reach the ultimate bushcraft lifestyle that I would like to see, but I sure look forward to getting closer and closer as my life progresses.

Edit.

I forgot to add, I'm Scottish and live in Scotland. I'm not a hippy type, but I consider myself an inhabitant of existence, not a bordered being. If only those that control did too.

Welcome Dave. I love Scotland! :D T^

Your intro reminded me of this:

You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.
