Hello everyone

I've recently joined the forum. Well lets see I'm ex services, been into survival and prepping for sometime now, into gardening and self sufficiency. Cooking from scratch with fresh ingredients no process food, we make our own bacon, bread, butter and cream etc. Belong to a small holding group where we get all of our meat and raw milk. Was into fishing in a big way but when my son came along it took a back seat. Love camping and all outdoor thing.

My son wants to learn all things outdoors so Im teaching him now all the things that will be forgotten in a couple of generations with the way things are going.

Hope to add to the wealth of knowledge on this site if I can.

Heyup Roger, welcome from North Yorkshire!! Great introduction, sounds like you're living the dream! Can't beat home grown veg and very impressed at making your own bacon. I don't go quite so far but I get most of my meat from the farm shop at work as I help rear the livestock and know it goes to a reputable abbatoir and butcher.
