Can anyone recommend a good GPS app for a Lumia 530?
I'm not looking for a driving type GPS, but one that might help for geocaching and that kind of thing.
Cheers

Lumia 530 a Windows phone? Pretty clueless with the available apps for those. Get a bottle of JD, share it with a mate and then spin the empty bottle and head off in that direction. Might not find you any geocaches but it will be much more fun :)

Hasn't it got google earth built in ? Would that do it, I know nothing about geo caching so need to know your need.

I have an Android phone and use "GPS essentials" quite a bit for finding out coordinates and altitudes. The app is very adaptive to what ever format you want your coordinates to be and can deliver a lot of other useful information on a so called dashboard which you can customise to your needs. The app is free and can probably do a lot more than I have yet used. Does the trick for me! The digital compass on it isn't to bad either.
Might also be available on Lumia

I use Back Country Navigator on my Android phone - not sure if it is available for other phones

I don't know if you have found an app yet Humakt, but, I use this
http://www.viewranger.com/en-gb
Will do for geocaching and general map use as it's Ordinance Survey I'm not sure if it will suit what your after when driving.

I also use viewranger but download OS maps as the street view options are only good with wifi or phone signal.

Cheers, chaps.
Unfortunately Viewranger is not available for the Lumia.
Oh well.
I have now found a GPS app that does the job! And is linked to geocache as well!
Found lots of other silly apps as well, including one where if you hold the phone up to the night sky it tells you what stars, planets, constellations etc you are looking at. How jolly clever!

Sorry, I would also mention viewranger; excellent mapping software for phones.
That constellation app is cracking; spent so much time transfixed with that (and dead arms)!

http://navmii.com/ its free and works well. It also downloads all of the UK maps so works even 'off line'
Cheers, chaps.
