base camp

This is my back garden base camp. I am planning to go into the wilds of Devon for an over night hang. just life getting in the way for now. got all the gear I think ?. can't wait to get out there. First night will most likely be a disaster. don't know if I should try and get on a meet up with others for some advise on setting up or just go it alone and see what happens. I've been out before with the tarp no hammock and enjoyed it so far so just need some nice weather and I will be out there. I know Dartmoor very well so that will be my first adventure. will let you know how it goes

Pic is at an angle so it's difficult to say but that looks to be set up nicely - get out and give it a go. I have never had a bad night's sleep in a hammock though I am told I snore like a bugger in them so maybe not my best stealthy option!
