The next time your working on something that requires some patience think 'Tsuba', whats even more remarkable is that the original crafts masters didn't have any i-pod shuffles to relieve the tedium :eek:

Absolutely fantastic! this guy is a genius and an artist of the highest calibre ! Ive always wanted a pair of samurai swords, ill have to win the lottery first tho ...... thanks for sharing that...

Good to see there's still some proper craftsmen around. I wonder if he sells his stuff to rich sararimen?

god knows how much something like that costs! i wouldnt like to price it, hes just a joy to watch, makes you think that the Japanese craftsmen did that with out all the high tech gear like microscopes etc, its just jaw droppingly awe inspiring!!

I just watched this last night on the Make Magazine website. I watched the second video twice, it was so amazing!

Nice to see craftsmen who take the time to do things by hand instead of falling into the power tool trap unnecessarily. The results speak for themselves. Stunning piece.
