...my new favourite sit-spot:

Over the last 12 months I have lost my two favourite sit-spots. Well, I was out for a casual stroll today and I came across this spot on the edge of a meadow. I rearranged the fallen logs into a comfortable seat but not making it too ordered or obvious so that others may be tempted to use it (canny, eh?).
It's actually not that far from a previous favourite sit-spot and has the same impressive views south across the greensand ridge to the weald. It's a place where I have often seen buzzards and kestrels (saw them today as well) and the call of woodpeckers is often heard (I could hear one having a tentative tap in a tree just behind me). The only draw back with this new spot is that the ash tree doesn't provide the best shade. But there you go.
I'm sure the two of us will have many future peaceful hours.
