I'm asking, but I'm pretty sure it's a Smooth Newt.
Still, anyone know exactly what this is? It was about 3" long. It was found beneath a piece of corrugated iron (where I have previously found snakes, rodents and a common lizard) in an area of grass and gravel. There are some lakes nearby - nearest being a couple hundred yards away.
Anyway, here's the little chap...

Yeah I would say a newt. I found two of these little fellas in the corner of my small polly-tunnel, in amongst wet wood-chip.
