I'm looking at the Karrimor Sabre 45, and would like to hear what you think of this pack.
Seems that some taller folks say it doesn't fit well.....and I'm 6'4".
Will that mean it's a no go for me???
Also, can you pack a reasonable 3-4 day load in it???
Does it offer a good way to carry an axe???
Also, if anybody has one in green that they want to trade, let me know.
I'm in the US, but we could work something out......
Thanks.

Don't the new Sabre 45's come with MOLLE attachment now?
If so, then I would say it is a good contender for one of the best packs in its size - taking into account size, weight, build quality, versatility, cost, etc. I'd certainly choose a Sabre over a Predator, even if the Sabre doesn't have MOLLE, since the Predator weighs a ton.
I'm of pretty much average height (175cm/ 5'9") and I have always found the Sabre comfortable. If mine died I'd buy another one (I prefer the coyote tan myself, but I'd get the green if that's what they had in stock).

I think the new ones do have MOLLE, never owned one but have heard nothing but good reviews, as for load out, check out Paul Kirtley's video here LINKhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLAh77etv14

Well, I don't really need any MOLLE, so I guess that leaves me looking for an old style one.

Anyone here over 6 feet who has used one???
I like the looks and design, but don't want to spring for a pricy pack only to not have it fit me....

only my opinion, and based on my requirements.
if you generally travel light or have a majority of lightweight kit, forage most of your water and food, go out in fair weather, then I would say an organised person with good skills would manage with a 45L pack, I would struggle personally as I like a little comfort and my belly rules my head.... and I love the kit!
I use a Sabre 75 with the two rocket packs as standard, and if it is packed from a pre pre-prepared list and isn't full, no problem, the excess capacity weighs nothing, the increase in pack weight from 45-100 is only around 3kilo, so unless your tramping miles it isn't a lot, but the option it leaves is in my mind all good,
if you need to set up or strike camp quick, its easier to find and pack, with the rocket packs you can store things completely separate allowing easy access all the time to most of the items packed, which usually means after camp kit/clothing.
for the extra weight, I would go larger, if you increase your belongings along the way its always nice to have the option of packing it away/carrying in comfort, there are also reduction straps and zips on larger packs if you don't fill them, this keeps the contents from swilling round and being uncomfortable.
old adage; - carry light freeze at night
only my opinion.

Thanks for the advice, I'll look into larger packs.
