Resilience

I saw this tree in a clients garden, and I was astounded at the fact this tree is still alive, looking at the state the main trunk was in.
A single branch coming off the main trunk is clinging on in defiance , and flowering quite well!!!
I think its a gage tree, judging by the flowers, but I could be wrong.
Just thought I'd share these, as they are a good testimonial of the resilience of the natural world.
A happy story for a change...

It's quite amazing really, how trees hang on like this sometimes.
