hello,
I've found another tinder resource. Japanese organic cotton pads used as e-cigarette filters. The sealed plastic packs vary in content, the packs I was given contain 5 rectangular pads, 4 layer cotton sheets per pad approximately 2.5" x 3.5" inch in size. rrp. £3.50p for a 5 pack. These rectangular pads when fluffed up are around fist sized & can again be reduced in size from 1 sheet pending how much is required for tinder purposes? I was given a packet of these originally as I was going to use them for petrol lighter wadding, tried & tested with flint & steel plus my ferro rod. I though as they're sealed in a plastic packet, they wouldn't take up much space in my FSK tin or pouch so why not save these as tinder? I took a pack with me today in my FSK. I set off early this morning went walkabout, tried & tested when brewing up. I've also filled my peanut lighter with 1 sheet as replacement wadding for petrol & that works too. You could probably find packets of cotton balls cheaper. Nevertheless not a bad tinder resource.
