Just thought I'd share this as I saw them in a charity shop and couldn't resist! A box of 50+ leather embossing punches with gold and blue leaf sheets inculded! Best £5 I've spent in months. Thanks FF. I got to wondering. They seem scorched. Does anyone know if you're ment to tool leather hot or cold? I literally have no idea! They look to have been a fairly expensive set at some point. Well made etc

As far as I know you wet the leather then tool it cold, heat makes leather shrink and go brittle

Ah cheers for that. Possibly been used to brand wood at some point then.
