I decided to head out to a local wood, to see what I could find in the way of tinder. Came across a handful of fungi, but most where too small to be of any use, so where left to do what they do best.
Here's a couple shots of bracket fungus

This one I harvested as it was around 8 inches wide, will be preparing the amadou from it later

I also came across evidence of the local squirrel population having a small feast on a fallen tree

There was also plenty of rabbits around, but sadly too fast and far for my phone camera to get any shots. Next time rabbits....next time...lol

Cut open the fungi I harvested at Bucknell and here she is, plenty of tinder which has now been removed. Found a handful of woodlice larvae inside so popped it in a sandwich bag with a dash of meths, sealed it up and letting the fumes kill off any other unwanted bugs.
