    Lightbulb Archaeologists claim objects are earliest 'matches'


    Researchers from Israel say that mysterious clay and stone artefacts from Neolithic times could be the earliest known "matches".

    Never knew you could use clay as a fire starter But when ye think of it its Theres no reason why not
    Great find there Ash I love stuff like this. Might be in Intresting project for some of the friction fire lads to try lol

    My thoughts exactly (clay and stone???????) still it's very interesting, although the idea of using a bow drill is quite sophisticated so there must have been another way to light fires before this!

    Great article, but where's the minds of the first bunch of so called experts to come across these, "phalic symbols" indeed! sex rears its head(s) (lol) once again!
