Sheath for my GBP 0.67 neck knife

    Hello all.
A while ago I uploaded the photos of a small little knife I found at a hardware store.
It cost me only GBP 0.67. Hollow grind, stainless steel, about 2 mm thickness. Strops beautifully.
The minute I saw it I thought I would use it about my neck. But it didn't have a sheath, of course.

So the other day while walking in the city I found a store. They sold me shoe leather. Not sure what it's proper name is in English. It's the type of leather you use for everyday shoes: Click image for larger version.

I got a large piece for about GBP 13. It was nice and not expensive, so I took it.

This is the material I used to make this sheath for my knife. And here it is, the finished sheath:

I know it's not a beauty, but it serves the purpose. I would say with leather, waxed linen thread, needles, and rivet, it cost me an additional GBP 1. What do you think?

Now I will look for some paracord pieces and make a lace to carry it around my neck. Any suggestions of type of knots to use? I'd like to make it adjustable.
Of course, I will upload photos when finished.

    Thanks!

    Elmer
