Bushcraft Skills in Need of Improvement.

If there is one thing, in terms of bushcraft, that I'm just no good at its sharpening blades. No matter what I do they all end up butter knifes...

...so what bushcraft skills elude or dog you and why?

Maybe we can learn from each others mistakes as well as getting a monkey off our backs at the same time haha.

Learning is all part of the fun, practice makes perfect as they say

Knots is one of my draw backs, I just can't remember them when I need them.

For me this year I am going to focus on all forms of fire lighting and try to gain knowledge of what's edible.

I used to be rubbish at knots but by keeping a length of paracord in the kitchen and drumming a few useful knots into my brain I can now easily tie the following even in the dark:

    Siberian hitch
    Tarp taut hitch
    Farramond
    Prussic
    Bowline
    Reef
    Figure of eight

Oh and that shoe and boot lace one that never comes undone unless you want it to
