Dartmoor 3 Days Camping with Just 10 Items

E-mail Print PDF
So we set ourselves a personal challenge of staying on Dartmoor with just 10 items. Food/Drink & Clothes were 'free' they didn't count as items, however everything else did! Even your rucksack was 1 item, toilet roll another!
See My Blog Post about the Trip - It also contains all the photos from our trip.

Great video. You guys could make your lives a lot easier though by cutting your pack weight in half. I can get a 2 day 1 night summer pack under 5kg and 3 day 2 night winter pack well under 10kg, so autumn like when you went would be around 7-8 kg, and I'm not talking spending loads on titanium etc. most importantly enjoy it - it looks like you did.

Glad you enjoyed the video Dave :) My video camera battery actually broke early on into day 1, so lucky we had Martin's as a backup, I wanted to film a lot more than I did but still we got something that was worth while & memorable.

Nice video guys, I have been to Dartmoor myself loads of times, it can't be beat in my eyes. Where in relation to the Forest Inn were the woods you camped in.
The last time I was headed for the Forest Inn from Corndon tor I was a few hundred feet away coming down toward the road with the pub to my right, I started to feel unwell and turned back, that was a few years back, it turned out I had asthma and never knew it.

Once again nice video.
