Hi Olin, I bet Ray Mears had used a Coracle a number of times before!.. This video was my very first time in one, they're quite unstable and unnerving the first time your in one but they're great when you get the nack.

This little sheltered spot was perfect for practising really.

Some good food and some wine wine. As an ex naval officer I can confirm that that is the spirit of messing about in boats. How on earth did you stay upright Ash? I know for sure that if that was me I'd have turned that work of art in to a submarine within the first 15 seconds.

Rock Samphire (still usable, but a bit over now, coastal)

Rose Hips
Common Sorrel
Ivy-Leaved Toadflax
Wood sorrel
Three-cornered leek
seaweeds
