Cornwall RV 2012 - April 6th-9th

The Cornwall RV 2012 will be held at Trenowth woods on 6th to 9th April. The woods will be open from Midday Friday to Midday Monday. Drinking water, porta loos and rubbish collection are all on site. We welcome children and dogs, we ask that you keep them safe and under control, and pick up any packages that either deposit! 2012 Will See:

An Iron Age Forge and knife sharpening with Dave Budd, blacksmithing with Tristan Kessel from Forgeries at Redruth, Leather craft and spoon making with Leon and Neil from Greencraft (www.greencraft.me.uk), Bowyer archery demos, fletching and string making by the Muscovy Archery Club.  , wild/Medicinal food walks with Rachael Lambert and knot tying with Richard Hopkins. New this year are chainsaw carving demo’, a Hunting owl demo and Harris Hawk display, Ferrets and how to make ferret nets will be run as a work shop due to demand. Willow tension trays – make a simple willow platter, suitable for bread or fruit (cornishwillow.co.uk)(TBC) only. Basket making (Sun only) .

In addition There will be the usual talk and demonstration sessions and some children’s activities depending on interest. This RV will see a Deer spit roast on the Sat evening with the food sold that evening, a Bushcraft boot fair on Sunday morning, so come along and buy, sell, trade, and barter. We will have charity Tomahawk throwing with a Bushcraft themed prize. Burgers, bacon rolls and hot drinks will be available throughout the RV. Returning this year is JB Real Ale Bar.

Prices for 2012:

£10 per adult per night

£5 for children

£5 per adult (£2.50 child) per for day visitors

Wild camping, tarp & hammock, tents and caravans are welcome. Small fires are allowed on site, and there is a local shop nearby to top up supplies.

Yeah!!! The RV is nearly upon us!! Ash, did you get any confirmation from Spanner or Mark about going?? Left a message in the answer phone but haven't heard back. Should probably give them a call.

I'm afraid that, unless you are accompanied by an adult, you will have to be 18 to attend the Cornwall RV. There isn't insurance to cover unaccompanied children.

Hi, I've bean looking for something like this for years but didn't know that there was one wright on my door step! Interested in coming along but i was just wandering how old you can be to still count as a chilled (Price wise). and with the knife making, can i make and keep the knife?

This website is offered as free, it's non-commercial, I don't make any money from it. I get asked to let people know about events all the time and guess what I provide a free Event's section on my website where people from all over the world can check for events, it's centralised and only requires you to check if your interested - I'm not going to start contacting everyone individually to inform them about events.
