At Woodland Valley, Ladock, Cornwall, UK

The next NaturalBushcraft Meet will be held at Woodland Valley in Cornwall on Sat 27th - Mon 29th October 2012.

As always we welcome all new-comers to join us in this friendly atmosphere of likeminded Bushcraft people, sharing knowledge, skills and good-times as freely as possible.

- All ages and new-comers are very welcome. Please bring appropriate clothes & footwear. If you are under 16 please bring adult/guardian.

- If you are planning on staying for any duration please bring a camping chair!

bushmeet- Dogs are allowed, but have to be controlled, not loose disturbing farm-animals or people.

- Meeting in Woodland Valley Carpark for 10am on the 27th October 2012.

Map

Depending on the weather the Event may take place in the Ancient Beech woodland on the left or in the Ash wood on the right of the map. We will judge the weather nearer the time and contact those attending to let them know at which end the event will be held. If possible attendees should meet at 10am on Sat 27th in the Carpark.

Activities

This is not a Bushcraft course or a large event,  it is a relaxed atmosphere for likeminded people to meet-up and share knowledge, skills & good-times freely. We will aim to have around 15-30 attendees and will set some rough schedules for workshops/activities that we may run but this will be an informal affair and I can't  guarantee they will happen.

Saturday 27th Oct

10am - 1:30pm - Meeting / Greeting / Lunch / Setting up your camp.

1:30pm - 3pm - Axe throwing

5:30pm Onward - Evening Meal / Socialising

Sunday 28th Oct

- 10am - 12:00 - Fire by Friction workshop covering Bowdrill & Hand-drill

- 2pm - 4pm - Spoon Carving

Monday 29th Oct

This day will most likely be left free for you to organise your own activities, we may come up with something and stick it here.

1:30pm - 3pm - Perhaps a Wild-Food Walk

As you can tell by the small booking fee we don't run these events for profit, nearly all the money goes to the landowner as rent/payment for our stay. A small percentage goes to communal resources; firewood, communal food, shelters & kit for classes etc.

If you have any problems with the ordering system above please do not hestitate to get in touch by clicking here.

If you book but do not show up on the day no refund will be available due to me having to book with the land owner and buying of communal food etc.

I'd have loved to come but I can't as I'll be only 12 days out of an operation on both my feet ... Bother! I should be ok again for the next one and am very much looking fwd to it.
